Becker to Take Reins of Coaching Team for 2023 Season
Tennis legend Boris Becker has joined the coaching team of Novak Djokovic for the upcoming season, becoming his Head Coach. Djokovic, one of the most successful tennis players of all time, announced the news on his website on Tuesday.
The move comes after Djokovic parted ways with his previous coaching team, which included Marian Vajda and Goran Ivanisevic. Vajda had been Djokovic's coach for almost his entire professional career, helping him win 85 titles out of the 96 he has won.
No reason has been given for the split between Djokovic and Ivanisevic. However, it is speculated that Djokovic may have been seeking a fresh approach after a disappointing 2022 season in which he failed to win a Grand Slam title.
